Delicious Delicacies

For The Curious Eater

Welcome to our new food blog, where we talk all things cuisine, food memories, recipes, culture, health & wellness, and connect with you the amazing cooks here and abroad that have influenced some of the recipes in our cookbook.

We hope you enjoy this wonderful journey and connect with all the people that we are hoping to impact, have impacted, but also the folks that have impacted us!

My background with food is not a professional one but my passion has been there since I was young.  I remember always being fascinated by food, ingredients, flavors, and just the memories associated with celebrations around food.  My father owned a restaurant and was an amazing cook, my maternal grandfather was a chef who made the best fries EVER!  So when I talk about food memories that is one that pops into my mind.  He passed away when I was 4 so I don’t have as many food memories with him as I do other loved ones but I can still smell and taste the fries he used to make for me as a toddler :).  See him below during his younger days in Angola.

What are some of your food memories?

Check out some more food memories in our cookbook below aimed at fundraising money to build a school in Bengo, Angola!
